Rental scams: Open records laws and unintended consequences

As chronicled here and elsewhere, Florida has some of the most open- if not “the most open” records laws in the country. As with guns and nuclear weapons, those laws are great when used by the good guys. Things only get screwed up when records laws are used by the bad guys.
