It’s Election Day, America…

It’s Election Day, Orlando! It’s Election Day, Florida! It’s Election Day, Ohio! Pennsylvania! Alabama! It’s time for all good men and women to literally stand up and be counted.  As the cliché goes, “If you don’t vote, you can’t complain”- and truer words may have never been spoken.  And if you don’t vote in today’s election, you can’t complain…and you’ve got none other than yourself to blame for the suffering your children and grandchildren will endure as a result of your not doing so.

Some might not like this post that much.  Some folks won’t like this post at all- and that’s fine.  If folks read this and choose to never visit this blog again, it is well- for this could very well be the most important election in generations.  I dare choose the path of expression versus that of cowardice and/or compromise- and offer my views here without regard for any consequences that could head my way, for the consequences we’ll all suffer from poor decisions today will be far greater than any trivial friction I may endure here.

In the presidential race, senatorial races, congressional races and those for our elected judgeships, our choices are fairly simple when it’s broken down:

Vote for those who believe in Americans’ brilliance, ingenuity and genius- not those who feel we can’t accomplish anything on our own.

Vote for those who trust us to depend upon ourselves- not those who seek to retain or attain public office and feel we should depend on government instead.

Vote for those willing to let us spend our money as we see fit- not those seeking to take more and more of our earnings to fund the lives of others too lazy to work.

Vote for those who value human life- not the baby killers.

Vote for those who value traditional marriage as God intends it to be- one man, one woman- period.

Vote to elect a president who will support our military and labor to keep our ambassadors alive as they serve in harm’s way- not a man who deflects responsibility for deaths on his watch and engages in creative wordsmithing in his never-ending efforts to cover up his cover-ups of our heroes’ deaths.

Vote Mitt Romney, America!

Vote Connie Mack for U.S. Senate, Florida.  Re-elect U.S. Representative John Mica (R, FL-7), Central Florida. Re-elect U.S. Representative Dan Webster, Central Florida. Re-elect State Representative Scott Plakon (FL-30), Florida.

Vote John Tegg for Orange County Sheriff, Florida- a trusted public servant and man of God that would be greatest to ever hold the office.

Last (but by no means least)…Good folks in my Sweet Home, Alabama, it’s time to right a wrong from a few years back: It’s time to return Chief Justice Roy Moore to Montgomery. As with John Tegg down here, Alabama is lucky that a man of such integrity and conviction remains a willing public servant in spite of both adversities and adversaries that come his way.

It’s Election Day, America… Exercise your right to vote and honor those who have died to preserve your right to do so.

May God bless you and America today- and though we’re undeserving of it, may He continue to hold her in the palm of His hand.
