First Baptist Orlando- The Singing Christmas Trees 2012

Pssst!  The trees don’t really do the singing- there are people up there that do the singing!

I moved here to the Orlando area in 2007, and I wasn’t really sure what to make of this whole “singing Christmas tree” deal when I first heard of it.  You’d have to admit it’s a bit confusing for the average guy- trees that sing?

On a serious note, though, I’ve seen The Singing Christmas Trees several times now, and the word amazing has gone through my head every time.  “Dang” does, too- as does the bit more refined “astounding”.  Call it whatever you like at first, but you’ll call it a blessing in the end.

The sheer amount of lights (250,000 or so) and choreographed audio is impressive- and the work the folks at First Baptist Orlando put into this production even more so.  There are many things to do around the holidays- and our area is surely blessed with more than our share of events for both the young and the young at heart.  For a true blessing, though, I urge any and all to make a trip to see “The Trees” while you can.

After all, The Mouse will be around in January- but “The Trees” will be long gone.
