Apopka, Florida: America’s 14th-friendliest town

Take that, (#15) Queen Creek, Arizona!  We’re on your heels, (#13) Hopkins, Minnesota!

Forbes Magazine is famous for it’s lists- World’s Richest…this, America’s Most Dangerous…that.  Some of them are all-too-predictable:  we know Bill Gates has money, we know the Walton Family is doing pretty well- and there’s a good chance most can figure out how dangerous a particular area is without the help of a magazine.

One of Forbes’ most recent lists might include some surprises, though.  Who knew (other than us Apopkans here)?  Apopka, Florida was recently ranked as the 14th-friendliest town in America!

As with any “Best…”, “Greatest…”, “Top…” or “Friendliest…” list, there are bound to be some haters  naysayers.  My reply to them?  Come on down/over!  See for yourself how friendly our Apopka, Florida-area citizens, businesses and community organizations are.  Test us- I’m pretty sure we’ll pass.

And don’t get too high and mighty, there, Sammamish, Washington- we Apopka folks are gonna set out to (kindly, of course) out-friendly the heck out of you before next year’s list hits the streets!

Congratulations to all of my fellow Apopkans for our making this list- and once again….Congratulations Apopka Blue Darters- 2012 Florida Class 8A Football State Champions!
