How do I vote in the 2016 ORRA leadership election?

How do I vote in the 2016 ORRA leadership election?

Great question!  Members in good standing may vote in this year’s Orlando Regional Realtor Association (ORRA) leadership election from Monday, September 21st through Friday, September 25th- and doing so will take you less time than it took you to read this sentence.

Once you receive your email from ORRA granting you access to this year’s ballot, you’ll access the voting portal by clicking on something which looks like this: Click to vote in Orlando Regional Realtor Association election.  You’ll be taken to a screen similar to this one from last year:

From here, you’ll use your NRDS ID (same one you use for MLS/Matrix, typically 9 digits) and password to login and be carried to your actual ballot.  The ballot will look something like this:

Every race is contested this year.  With regard to the officer positions, there are two candidates running for President-Elect (the winner will become our 2016 President-Elect and 2017 President), two candidates running for 2016 ORRA Secretary and two candidates (including me) running for 2016 ORRA Treasurer.  There are also a total of 12 candidates on the ballot and seeking election to one of the four available seats on our Board of Directors.

Indicating the candidate whom you feel would best serve our association in these positions is accomplished with a simple click within the check box beside that candidate.

You may select one (1) candidate for President-Elect and one (1) each for the Secretary and Treasurer positions.  You may select up to four (4) candidates for the Director positions.  Note:  You are not required to vote for four (4).  If you have a favorite candidate, I’d urge you to only vote for that one candidate- as any vote for the others cancels out your vote for your favorite!

Upon selecting your candidate(s), your checked boxes will appear as indicated here:

The next step is to click on the “Preview Ballot Selections” button- which will present you with the following page and an opportunity to review/verify your selections:

If you’ve made all of your selections and this page accurately reflects your choices, click on the “Cast My Ballot” button- which will result in the following prompt and one final opportunity to catch any errors you might have made:

Almost there!  Your options from here are to click “OK” and confirm your ballot is correct or to click “Cancel” and return to your ballot and make any necessary changes.  Selecting “OK” will return the following screen- which serves as confirmation that your votes have been received:

That’s all there is to it!  The results of the election will be announced at ORRA’s Expo on Friday, October 2nd.  Everyone is invited to attend and hear the results of these exciting races- and to congratulate the winners who will serve our association in the coming year.

As indicated above, I am seeking to serve our association as the 2016 ORRA Treasurer.  You can find out more information about me by visiting my site-– or by visiting my Facebook page, Vote For Dennis Burgess 2016 ORRA Treasurer.  I thank you kindly for your consideration.
